She is finally here! Emerson "Emmie Mae" was born June 13th at 12:53 am. I was one week over due and scheduled for my induction when she decided to make her debut on her own. The labor was quick and pretty easy for labor standards I suppose. My mom came and stayed for 5 days, it was really a lifesaver to have someone cook your meals, clean and help with the housework. After a week home Emmie came down with a really high fever. We took her to the ER and she was admitted for 3 days. They had to run several tests, and in the end it was ruled a viral infection. It was a rough few days for us, our little baby girl had an IV on the side of her head, I got mastitis, and we both were sleeping at the hospital. Since our return home things have been great. Emmie has a very sweet personality, she rarely gets upset...except for her nightly cries at about 8pm. We have taken one large road trip to CDA and she was a trooper sleeping most of the way. Emmie has met most of her extended family and friends.
The first six weeks have really flown by, she is now smiling and cooing all the time her hair is falling out leaving her a dead ringer for Michael:) Major is adjusting to life as a big brother. He still gets to sleep with us in bed, and now he sleeps close to her bassinet. Whenever he hears her cry he runs to her door or swing it is very cute. The weather has been really hot down here, leaving us just the morning hours to get out for walks, we have been enjoying getting out with friends for morning walks.

1 week to go!!!!!
With one week until our due date we have been hustling like little bunnies around the Nail household. Yesterday we held a garage sale, it was a success we sold quite a bit and donated the rest. I now can park my car in the garage yippeee! Today Michael is installing a window AC unit in our bedroom. Our one little AC vent upstairs is no match for the hot Boise summers. The car seats are in, bags packed, we are now waiting the arrival of baby girl. At my doctors appointment on Thursday I was not dilated yet but the baby had moved down into position which is a good sign. I will be attempting to walk more this week and do all the old wives tales to encourage the arrival of our baby.

Baby shower #2 & 36 Weeks
Last weekend Michaels aunt Angie threw me a beautiful baby shower in Boise. I had four girlfriends fly in from out of town to make it extra special. We hosted a bbq Friday night for all our friends, probably our last big hoorah before the baby comes. We have been busy preparing for the arrival of our little one. We have a breastfeeding class this week, and our car seat check but I think we are ready to go. I have been feeling pretty good the weather is getting warmer down here so now I know what swelling looks and feels like....I have cankles! This weekend we are hoping to get our garden planted...its a bit late but the weather hasn't been too great down here so hopefully it will be ok. We have been playing all the baby toys and gear for Major in hopes he will get used to the sounds....time will tell!

34 Weeks!
We are getting close:) Last weekend we traveled to Coeur d' Alene for my baby shower. Jenny did a wonderful job hosting. We are so lucky to have generous friends and family, we are just about set for the arrival of our little girl. Michael has been working hard getting the yard in shape, while I have been working indoors cleaning, organizing, and getting the baby room ready. We completed our labor class last week and feel much more prepared for everything labor brings. I am having another baby shower here in Boise in two weekends that Michael's aunt is hosting. I feel really lucky to have friends traveling for the shower. We are going to have a BBQ here the night before. Major is doing well...he sniffs everything that is put in the babies room he is very intersted in the new room:)

First blog...
Hello all this is my first blog. I wanted to create this so we can keep in touch with friends and family as our family expands. We are 26 weeks pregnant this week. So far I have been feeling good, however this weekend I started to have shooting back pains. Michael my devoted husband got me a heating pad and gave me a massage. Our weekend was spent working on the baby room. Painting over the original blue has been quite a big task. Not only did we prime the room, the first color we chose was a lavender....so I had to pick out another color, total I think we have put over 5 coats of paint on the walls. I will think twice before I ever paint a wall dark. I think this is weekend #5 spent devoted to the baby room we are almost done yea! Michael has been putting in 75 hours a week at work, leaving me and major to do our own thing. I have been taking sewing classes on Saturdays its been so fun learning how to sew again. I also have been scrap booking, baking, cleaning and cooking; its the nesting phase:)
